Even if you don’t follow politics on an everyday basis, there are just some things you know will happen. Politicians will ask for money, they make promises, and not all, but some fall into a very dark place once they hit the Washington, D.C., city limits. Some of them start out okay, full of idealism, planning to march right into Congress and “change the system,” while others, well, their whole lives have been a veritable blueprint of how they would conduct themselves once they got elected to office. President Joe Biden is one of those walking blueprints. As he prepares to leave office, he will leave in his wake the worst presidency and the most horrific four years America has endured in quite a while.
It is expected that as he walks out the door, like all other Presidents before him, Joe Biden will pardon people. People who might be friends or acquaintances or just people who may have run afoul of the law and who may want to stay out of prison. Then, there is Joe’s son, Hunter Biden. On Monday, Joe granted Hunter what is perhaps the most sweeping pardon since Richard Nixon. It spans a nearly 11-year timespan, going back to 2014 and Hunter’s days on the Board at the Ukrainian energy company Burisma until the end of this year. It gets Hunter off the hook for a few felonies that he would have been sentenced for in a matter of a few days. In June, Hunter was found guilty on three felony gun charges, including lying on a firearm application about being a drug addict. In September, he was convicted on tax evasion charges.
We’ll get back to Hunter in a minute. Let’s talk about Joe. How many times were the American people reassured that Joe was going to abide by the decisions of the juries in all these cases and he absolutely was not going to pardon Hunter? About as many times as we heard him and the propaganda arm of the Democrat party, otherwise known as the media, lecture us that Donald Trump was not above the law. Well, now we know what the criteria in America for being above the law is. If your last name is Biden, you are good to go. If your last name is Trump, there is a whole other set of rules for you. Joe went on to portray his son as the victim. Hunter was just a poor, drug-addled target of Joe’s political opponents. For once, Joe is actually right. Hunter was the victim…of Joe. Let’s go back to the beginning. Who can forget that video of then-Vice President Joe Biden sitting in front of cameras, flanked by a few of his toadies, relating the story of how he was the Obama administration’s point man on loan guarantees to Ukraine? But Joe was also there for other reasons. Joe Biden was dumb enough to literally tell the story of how he extorted money from Ukraine in return for getting the prosecutor who was investigating Burisma fired. But what else was the Biden family doing in Ukraine? Hunter Biden had no experience with gas, energy, or Ukraine. The Ukrainians wanted something in return for putting Hunter on the Board and paying him a gazillion dollars. What they wanted was influence, and they got it.
The Ukrainians weren’t the only ones who got influence. Hunter traveled all over the world selling “the brand,” a.k.a. Joe, making business deals with people in places like Russia, Romania, Kazakhstan, and China to the tune of millions of dollars, all going into the Biden family bank accounts. Long story short. Joe Biden made his drug-addicted son the bag man for the family “business.” There is plenty of evidence that not only did he know what Hunter was up to, he helped orchestrate it. Hunter’s pardon not only covers Hunter but also covers Joe. Hunter is certainly not as pure as the driven snow, but what kind of person uses their drug-addicted kid to be the bag man for the family “enterprise?”
It is kind of fun to now watch Democrats and the media find out that Joe Biden is exactly the kind of guy who does that. He is not America’s Grandpa, not even close. He once claimed to have graduated in the top half of his law school class. He graduated near the bottom. He claimed to have earned three degrees. He only earned one. Although he has claimed to be a truck driver, he never held a private sector job. After being elected to the Senate in 1972, his first wife and daughter were killed in a traffic accident. He claimed over and over that the other driver was drunk. It was a lie. He claimed his oldest son Beau died in Iraq. It was a lie. He died of brain cancer in 2015. He said Donald Trump had a 9 percent inflation rate. It was a lie. It was about 1 percent. He is a serial plagiarist, stealing portions of a speech from British Labour Party leader Neil Kinnock repeatedly, as well as several instances in law school. He abandoned Americans during the horrific Afghanistan withdrawal, except for the 13 who were killed during the withdrawal. While their flag-draped caskets were unloaded onto American soil, he checked his watch. He has allowed roughly 12-15 million illegal aliens into the country during his four years in office. He has left Americans in western North Carolina to live in tents in December since Hurricane Helene struck almost three months ago. And most recently, if you are a Trump supporter, he called you “garbage.” That’s not even the whole list.
Joe Biden really kind of owes Hunter a pardon. Other Biden family members may also get pardons as well. Joe may even pardon himself. Don Vito Corleone may have said it best, and it seems to be the Biden family motto, “You can do anything, but never go against the family.”
