Since our beginning, Americans have been revolutionaries. Although real American history is no longer taught in public schools, someone might be offended you know. It is how our nation was founded. For the most part, Americans have no problem standing up and speaking out about what they think and what they believe in. Most of us will agree with the phrase often misattributed to Voltaire, but was really written by Evelyn Beatrice Hall in a biography of Voltaire. “I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.” Freedom of speech is the very foundation of our republic. But there is also a quote from another famous American that comes to mind here, the great Rush Limbaugh, who simply said, “words mean things.” That stark, honest statement is slowly being forgotten, and the results could have devastating consequences.
I wrote a few weeks ago about the fact that the Democrat party sure seems like they want some sort of sustained violent episodes in our political discourse. They don’t openly admit it, but we are getting close to the point where you can draw no other conclusion. We can go through all the old comments and remarks, Eric Holder’s “when they go low, we kick ‘em,” Mad Maxine Waters telling a crowd to confront Trump supporters, Democrat Congressman Dan Goldman saying that Donald Trump “has to be eliminated,” and on and on. It is a topic where the threat of serious violence from these completely unhinged people just gets more and more intense. The latest example comes from Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker.
Pritzker is apparently toying with the idea of running for president in 2028. Why else would he show up in New Hampshire of all places? In his two terms as Governor, Pritzker has made mincemeat of Illinois, now he would like to turn the entire nation into Illinois. During his appearance in New Hampshire, Pritzker had this to say about not just Donald Trump, but Republicans.
“Never before in my life have I called for mass protests, for mobilization, for disruption, but I am now. These Republicans cannot know a moment of peace. They have to understand that we will fight their cruelty with every megaphone and microphone that we have. We must castigate them on the soapbox and then punish them at the ballot box. They must feel in their bones that when we survive this shameful episode of American history with our democracy intact, because we have no alternative but to do just that, that we will relegate their portraits to the museum halls reserved for tyrants and traitors.”
JB Pritzker is just like his fellow Democrats when they regurgitate this drivel. It’s hard to fathom, but Pritzker and the rest of his lefty buddies know exactly what they are doing. They have no interest in any sane, thought-provoking debate or sharing of ideas. They want people to believe that they are just all about putting daisies in the barrels of rifles and singing Kum Ba Yah. But that is the farthest idea from their minds. Pritzker and the rest of the gang know how easy it is to get radical leftists riled up to the point where real, actual violence will break out, and people get seriously hurt or worse. Then, not only will they feign complete ignorance of doing or saying anything that might even be remotely thought to have instigated it, but they will make every attempt to make the Republicans and conservatives who are the targets of their violence out to be the ones who provoked it.
It might be interesting to go back and take a good look, but in the days and weeks before the assassination attempt on Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania last summer, how many times did the media refer to Trump as a Nazi, a fascist, or Hitler? It is people like that, the Thomas Crooks’s of the world, about whom we still know virtually nothing about, that JB Pritzker and the rest of the radicals in the Democrat party know they can get ginned up enough to do their dirty work.
We have all heard that old saying, “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.” It is unknown who actually said it, but it is often attributed to Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels. Funny how the people calling us Nazis would use a tactic that might have been said and espoused by an actual Nazi. That’s called accusing your opponent of doing exactly what you are doing. Know who advocated that tactic? None other than Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton’s mentor, Saul Alinsky, in his book “Rules for Radicals.”
There will always be guys like JB Pritzker. Guys with big mouths and no….guts, who have no intentions of getting their hands dirty, but are all too willing to goad the unwashed masses into carrying out the “revolution.” Think JB Pritzker is going to be out there doing the protesting, the mobilizing, and the disrupting? Think you are going to see Pritzker lobbing Molotov cocktails at cops and getting arrested himself? Not on your life, throwing incendiary devices at cops is a lot of exercise. Does JB Pritzker look like a health nut to you?
JB Pritzker and the rest of the Democrat Party are getting less and less shy about calling for what they really want. Republicans and conservatives should get less shy about calling it exactly what it is, an intifada.
