The Democrats' Joe Biden Problem
No one knows if it is true. But it is most certainly the stuff of political urban legends, and by far Barack Obama’s most famous quote. According to said urban legend, in 2020, Obama, while endorsing Joe Biden publicly, is reported to have said to some nameless faceless Democrat operative, “Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f*** things up.” For all of Obama’s bloviating, truer words were never spoken. The nation is in a freefall, with inflation, unsustainable prices at the grocery store and gas pump, crime rates skyrocketing, and the world on fire. Would it have helped if Republicans had listened to those words? Not likely, Democrats were hell-bent on ridding the country of Donald Trump. They did that, and now, they have a problem that is entirely of their own making. They have a president in Joe Biden who is clearly in some stage of dementia. They have a Vice President in Kamala Harris, who is more unpopular than Joe Biden, dumb as a bag of hair, and in no way competent enough to be the president if, God forbid, she had to take over. And now, they have Joe Biden in danger of alienating two of the most reliable voting blocs for the Democrat party. Get out the popcorn, because it will be glorious to watch them try to wiggle out of it. But to paraphrase Obama, never underestimate the ability of Democrats to cheat.
The invasion at the southern border continues with no end in sight. As Democrats import what they think will be a whole new permanent underclass of reliable Democrat voters, the ones who are being taken for granted are slowly starting to realize, that the Democrat party has never cared about them, just their votes. It is always painful to realize that the one you brought to the dance wants to leave with someone else, and that is exactly what is happening. A group of black Chicago residents, with the help of an outfit called More Real News, recently took to TikTok following a City Council meeting, where the residents voiced their outrage at the number of illegal immigrants coming into the city. They say that the city is putting the needs of illegal immigrants ahead of those who are natural-born citizens who pay taxes. If this is the case, they should be plenty mad. But for many of these black residents of Chicago, it is also going deeper than the injustice of people who just arrived in the country, getting their needs met first. They realize that what they are getting from the Democrat party, in return for decades of loyalty, is a big fat goose egg.
One woman took to the microphone and informed the Democrat party that black voters in Chicago “are done with the Democrat Party.” She was just getting started. She continued, “Any Republican candidate in the city of Chicago, now is your time! Because we are done with the Democrat Party. Mayor Johnson and Governor Pritzker and President Biden have shown us what they think about the black community all over this country…” “We don’t have to support the Democrat Party…” The best part of all of this is that the 2024 Democrat Convention next summer will be held…in Chicago. The woman referenced that event saying, “It’s gonna be a great day in the city of Chicago when the Democratic Convention comes here and then they find out in March that a lot of black folks took Republican ballots. Deal with that!” A man also referenced the convention and said, “If you think you are gonna have a peaceful Democratic National Convention while our people are starving? Stay tuned!”
As if that wasn’t enough, Muslim Americans may be using their votes to voice their displeasure at the Biden administration’s support of Israel in its war with Hamas. Muslim Americans are a small portion of the population, but their votes in many swing states like Wisconsin, where Joe Biden is ahead by less than one percentage point, and even solidly blue states like Michigan where Trump is up 46-41 percent, and in Minnesota where Joe Biden has a within-the-margin-of-error lead of 45-42 percent. Michigan could be especially problematic for Biden in places like Dearborn, where nearly 30 Muslim community leaders met recently and agreed that unless they saw a major shift in Biden administration policies, which likely means ending support for Israel, they would not be supporting Biden. Would Muslim Americans vote for Trump and Republicans, probably not. But if even a few of those Muslim American votes go to a third-party candidate, it could spell big trouble for any reelection of Joe Biden.
Chicago has been run by Democrats for decades. In the case of those speaking outside City Hall, illegal immigrants jumping to the head of the benefits line just may be the epiphany that black and other minority voters who have had their votes taken for granted during those decades, needed to have. But it gets even better. As of this writing, black residents of the Brighton Park neighborhood in Chicago are suing Mayor Brandon Johnson to halt construction on a massive tent city being built right in the middle of their neighborhood. But the residents of Brighton Park get a double whammy because construction of the tent city had already been halted by the state after an environmental report showed evidence of large amounts of hazardous chemicals in the soil.
So, to sum up, the Democrats in power before Mayor Johnson dumped hazardous chemicals in a black neighborhood, and now the mayor wants to dump illegal immigrants into a tent city in a black neighborhood. At this point, in the words of Donald Trump, what have they got to lose?
